BJ Cummings is a Seattle-based writer, public speaker, filmmaker, and environmental activist focused on climate justice and community engagement. She is the author of 'The River That Made Seattle: A Human and Natural History of the Duwamish' and founded the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition, leading efforts that resulted in over $300 million in EPA cleanup commitments. Recognized as a River Hero and Sustainability Hero, she currently manages community engagement for the University of Washington's Superfund Research Program and is a lecturer on environmental health and social justice.Browse all performers
