Richard Maltby, Jr.
Richard Maltby, Jr. is a Tony Award-winning lyricist, director, and theatrical producer born in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1937. He is best known for conceiving and directing the only two musical revues to win the Tony Award for Best Musical: Ain't Misbehavin' (1978) and Fosse (1999), as well as his work as lyricist on the international hit Miss Saigon (1991). Throughout his career, he has collaborated extensively with composer David Shire and has contributed to numerous Broadway productions including Baby, Big, Song & Dance, and Ring of Fire.Browse all performers
