Mary Sheldon Scott is a visual artist and choreographer who has been exploring visual media and creating innovative performance works for over 50 years. Since 1993, she has collaborated with composer Jarrad Powell, forming Scott/Powell Performance in 1994 to explore the intersection of movement, sound, and visual territories. Her work, recognized for its mysterious and beautiful aesthetic with oblique references to the natural world, has been presented across the United States and funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and Artist Trust.
