Roderick George is a choreographer, performer, and director born and raised in Houston, Texas, who founded kNoname Artist in 2015—a Berlin-founded, New York City–based collective supporting collaborative authorship and shared creative agency. His work engages sociopolitical realities through contemporary dance, centering care, memory, and community, and has been presented at major institutions including Jacob's Pillow, New York City Center, and New York Live Arts. A recipient of the 2024 Jacob's Pillow Men Dancers Award and 2024 Princess Grace Award for Choreography, George's practice is grounded in both classical and contemporary movement traditions developed through training at Houston Ballet Academy, The Alvin Ailey School, and professional collaborations with companies including Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet and The Forsythe Company.Browse all performers
