Futaba Niekawa
Japanese classical pianist Futaba Niekawa is known for her verve and sensitivity as both a soloist and collaborative pianist across genres and disciplines. She has performed internationally throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, released five recordings, and collaborated with renowned ensembles including the Metropolitan Opera and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Currently an Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland, she is also co-founder of duo526 with violinist Kerry DuWors and is passionate about multidisciplinary artistic partnerships and music education.Browse all performers
