The Head and the Heart is an American indie folk band formed in Seattle in 2009 by Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell, who met through open mic nights at a local pub. Known for their heartfelt indie folk and Americana sound, the band has released six studio albums and built a following of 3.7 million monthly Spotify listeners since their self-titled debut was signed to Sub Pop in 2010.
