villagerrr is the project of Mark Allen Scott, an Ohio-based singer-songwriter whose patient, mesmerizing songs are unmistakably Midwestern. His latest album Tear Your Heart Out showcases tasteful indie rock with understated twang, pinpointing quiet, mundane experiences and imbuing them with disarming emotional clarity.
