Yussef El Guindi
Yussef El Guindi is an Egyptian-American playwright born in 1960 who writes full-length, one-act, and adapted plays examining Arab-Muslim experience in the United States. Best known for his 2005 play Back of the Throat, he has been called "the most talented Arab American writer of political plays" and frequently explores themes of cultural collision, immigration, and the experiences of Arab-Americans and Muslim Americans. Based in Seattle, he is a Core Company playwright member at ACT Theatre and a Resident Artist at Golden Thread Productions.Browse all performers
