Ifrah F. Ahmed is a Somali-born, Brooklyn-based writer, chef, and artist whose work centers around food, history, culture, memory, and migration. She is the founder of MILK & MYRRH, a popular Somali culinary pop-up that has sold out in New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle, and is a regular contributor to the New York Times Cooking.
Angela Garbes is a 40-year-old Filipina American writer and speaker based in Seattle, Washington. She is the author of two books, Essential Labor and Like a Mother, and writes a monthly Guardian US column on female middle age. Her work explores themes of bodily autonomy, motherhood, and the essential labor that sustains human life.
