Danny Barnes, a banjo player who's worked with Bill Frisell and Dave Matthews, brings his genre-blending style to City Hall Plaza downtown on July 23rd. It's a free lunchtime concert, so you can catch some folk music without rearranging your day or your wallet.

    Danny Barnes is an American banjo player, singer, and composer born in Temple, Texas, whose music blends country, jazz, blues, punk, and metal influences. He was a founding member of the Austin trio the Bad Livers (1990-2000) and has since established himself as a solo artist and collaborator with musicians like Bill Frisell and Dave Matthews, winning the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo in 2015.
