Third Harbour, a Celtic music group, plays a free outdoor concert at the Ballard Locks on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The locks themselves—where salmon climb their ladder and freshwater meets the Sound—make for an unusual venue, and the botanical garden gives you somewhere to wander if the mood strikes. If you like Irish music and don't mind the possibility of watching boats pass while you listen, it's a low-stakes way to spend a Sunday.

Third Harbour
Mitch Yockey, the primary driving force behind Third Harbour, passed away on January 1, 2025. He was a son, brother, husband, father, friend and more, with many admirable traits. A licensed architect, terrific water-color artist, and talented musician—highlight just a few of his abilities. The name Third Harbour comes from the four harbours of the Christian faith, the third being the Aran Islands of Ireland.
