Delete your Showout account
You can delete your Showout account at any time. It's permanent: a deleted account can't be brought back.
What gets deleted
- Your account: your name, email address, password or Google or Apple sign-in, and your profile (handle, picture, date of birth).
- The events you've saved, marked going or interested, or visited on the map, and your lists.
- Your interests, the artists you follow, and the people you follow or block.
- Your conversations with Ask.
- Your event reminders, nature alerts and newsletter subscriptions.
- Your sign-ins (the Showout app on your phones, and any apps you connected to Showout), and your phone's notification registration.
What isn't part of your account
As the privacy policy says, our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and debugging; they're retained briefly and not used to identify you. Google Analytics never receives your name, your email address or your account, and Google keeps its detailed records for no more than 14 months.
If you sent us a problem report, it stays, but it's no longer linked to you.
If the Showout app stays on your phone with notifications allowed, it registers the phone again, without an account, whenever it's open, until you turn its notifications off or uninstall it.
How to delete it
In the Showout app
Open MY EVENTS, tap DELETE ACCOUNT at the bottom, then tap Delete.
Here on the website
Log in to the account you want to delete, then come back to this page.
By email
Email hello@showout.ai from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account", and we'll delete it for you.
