If something on Showout uses your copyrighted work without permission, tell us and we'll take it down.

Showout lists public events, and some listings include images or text from the event's own pages. We respect copyright and respond to notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

How to send a takedown notice

Email dmca@showout.ai with:

  1. The work. What you own, such as a photo, a poster, or a piece of writing (a link to the original helps).
  2. Where it is on Showout. The showout.ai address of each page, and which part of the page is yours.
  3. How to reach you. Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
  4. A good-faith statement. That you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by you, your agent, or the law.
  5. An accuracy statement. That the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your signature. Typing your full name at the end of the email counts.

Please only send a notice for your own work, or work you're authorized to act for. Knowingly false notices can make the sender liable for damages.

What happens next

We reply to confirm we've received your notice. If it is complete, we remove the material quickly, typically within 2 business days, and tell you when it's done. If something is missing, we'll ask.

If your material was removed

If you posted material that was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include: what was removed and where it appeared; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, postal address and phone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the U.S., any judicial district where Showout may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We forward it to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have gone to court, we may restore the material.

Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright will be closed.
