Dammiel Cruz-Garrido is a soloist with Pacific Northwest Ballet, promoted to the rank in 2022 after joining the company's corps de ballet in 2016. Born and raised in Queens, New York, he trained on full scholarship at the prestigious School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and was a recipient of the Mae L. Wien Award and Danish American Nationals Cultural Exchange (DANCE) scholarship.
Clara Ruf Maldonado is a Principal dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet, known for her expressive performances in both classical and contemporary works. Born and raised in New York City, she trained at the School of American Ballet (2015 Mae L. Wien Award recipient) and was a former NYCB apprentice before joining PNB in 2018.
Mark Cuddihee is a professional ballet dancer originally from Greenville, South Carolina, who trained at The School of American Ballet in NYC and Boston Ballet School. He joined Pacific Northwest Ballet in 2018 and performs as a member of the Corps de Ballet, dancing classical and neo-classical roles by choreographers including George Balanchine and Donald Byrd.
Miles Pertl is a dancer and choreographer from Seattle, Washington who trained at Pacific Northwest Ballet School and the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart. He performed as a company dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet and Het Nationale Ballet, dancing in works by renowned choreographers including George Balanchine, Frederick Ashton, and Jorma Elo.
Christian Poppe is a Soloist with Pacific Northwest Ballet, a position he achieved in 2022 after joining the company as an apprentice in 2013 and advancing to corps de ballet in 2014. From Lake Stevens, Washington, he trained at Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Cornish College of the Arts Preparatory Dance, and has performed with Dance! Fremont and the Men in Dance Festival—Against the Grain.
Sarah-Gabrielle Ryan is a Mexican-American principal ballet dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle. Born in Philadelphia to a Mexican mother and Irish-American father, she is known for her performances in classical roles including Giselle, Coppélia, and The Nutcracker, as well as contemporary works by choreographers like David Dawson, Donald Byrd, Pite, and Forsythe.
Ryan Cardea is a Corps de Ballet dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet, where he has been a company member since 2010. Originally from New York City, he studied on scholarship at the School of American Ballet and was a 2009 recipient of the Flemming Halby Exchange with the Royal Danish Ballet School.
Luca Anaya is a ballet dancer from New York who performs with Pacific Northwest Ballet's Corps de Ballet. He studied at The School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet, and has attended summer courses at several prestigious institutions. As a Latin American artist, he brings cultural identity and character to his performances, particularly in Balanchine ballets.
Jiří Kylián is a Czech contemporary dance choreographer born in 1947, considered one of the greatest in Czech history. He served as Artistic Director of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) from 1976 to 1999, creating nearly 100 works including Symphony of Psalms, Stamping Ground, Dream Time, and Silent Cries that are performed worldwide.
Karl Wilhelm Alexander Ekman is a Swedish ballet dancer and choreographer born in 1984, known for his witty, fast-paced contemporary ballet works that blend humor, innovation, and audience engagement. He has created over 50 pieces for more than 45 dance companies worldwide, including the Royal Swedish Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Nederlands Dans Theater, and frequently composes music and designs sets for his own…
