David B. Williams (1947–2009) was a self-taught Canadian Ojibway painter and printmaker from Garden River First Nation near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He developed a distinctive style combining fine graphic lines with geometric and abstract elements, using bold vivid colors to depict life cycles in nature, with works held in major collections including the National Museum in Ottawa and the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon. His artistic practice was deeply personal, motivated by his three sons and daughter, with each painting incorporating symbolic suns representing his children.
