In 1963 in the Yakima Valley a 10 year old Mark Elder walked by a R N R band playing outside at the local park. In front of the Bass Guitarist he felt his stomasch move from the Bass and thought to himself "that's what I'm going to do when I grow up"! Then in the early 70’s just out of high school, 17 year old Mark followed his dream of playing bass guitar and joined what would become one of the Seattle’s premier bands, Mark worked with Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart on one of his original songs It’s Time Again. His band opened for acts like, The Oak Ridge Boys, Elvin Bishop, Commander Cody, Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and Jim Stafford. After years of musical success, Mark left Seattle to raise his sons in the Midwest, landing in NW Ohio. During that time, Mark got one of his Christmas songs, One Little Star recorded by Crystal Gayle. His boys raised, Mark refocused his energies on songwriting, recording and performing and as a result has produced several solo albums. Mark owns his own state of the art recording studio, Oldgyz Productions and has been performing with several musicians and bands around the greater Toledo, Ohio area.
