A welcoming community center and the second oldest public library in Puget Sound, first opened in 1863. The library features permanent art installations, beautiful gardens (including a Japanese garden, perennial gardens, and fern garden recognized as Best Library Garden by the American Library Association in 2000), and hosts a calendar of events, workshops, and educational programs for all ages.
