James A. Garfield High School is a public high school in Seattle's Central District, founded in 1920 and named after the 20th U.S. President. The school features a state-of-the-art performing arts center (Quincy Jones Center), modern gymnasium, and robust music and drama programs, and has historically served as a venue for notable speakers including Martin Luther King Jr., Jesse Jackson, and Stokely Carmichael.
