Knute "Mossback" Berger is a Seattle-based journalist, writer, editor, and historian born December 5, 1953. He is Editor-at-Large for Crosscut and Seattle magazine, and host of "Mossback's Northwest" on Cascade PBS, where he writes about Pacific Northwest politics, regional heritage, and history. He is also Writer-in-Residence and consulting historian at the Space Needle.

BJ Cummings is a Seattle-based writer, public speaker, filmmaker, and environmental activist focused on climate justice and community engagement. She is the author of 'The River That Made Seattle: A Human and Natural History of the Duwamish' and founded the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition, leading efforts that resulted in over $300 million in EPA cleanup commitments.
Elke Hautala is a filmmaker, performer, and visual anthropologist based in Seattle with a passion for connecting the public to history through documentary film, performance, and immersive storytelling. An identical twin and classically trained vocalist with a three-octave range, she has worked as an actress, singer-songwriter, and tour guide before transitioning to documentary filmmaking and academic research.
Cari Simson is an environmental consultant and creative mixed media artist, catalyst and producer who co-founded Invisible Histories with Elke Hautala. The project uses arts-based research and performance to visually and viscerally connect the public to hidden local histories, including the Potter's Field podcast and immersive historical experiences.
